Job Description

Our client, a leader in the Natural gas industry, is currently seeking a Supplier Compliance Specialist to work on a contract basis in the downtown Pittsburgh area. This contract engagement is currently scheduled for a duration of 6 months with the potential for extension or conversion to permanent employment.

The supplier compliance specialist is a component of the contract administration department under the Procurement umbrella. The position is responsible for validating a supplier satisfactorily meets the requirements of the company’s compliance areas including Insurance, Safety, Credit, HR, and IT, as applicable. Compliance with these areas is required to be established prior to a contract being executed and maintained on an ongoing basis throughout the relationship. The position will require heavy usage of the ISNetworld supplier qualification network and the company’s contract management solution.

On a daily basis, the Supplier Compliance Specialist is responsible for the following:

  • Review insurance documentation submitted by suppliers into ISNetworld including insurance levels and endorsements
  • Enabling suppliers on the ETRN ISN account
  • Approve contract requests meeting compliance requirements, and subsequently initiating the contract execution process
  • Resolution of non-compliance measures of the company’s compliance areas including Insurance, Safety, Credit, HR, and IT, as applicable
  • Creation, review, and distribution of status + compliance reports
  • Coordinating supplier suspensions
  • Continuously seek process improvement opportunities, develop and carry out implementation plans; ensure that process and improvements adhere to Company policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • Take on additional special projects, as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Supplier Compliance or related role
  • Minimum of an Associates degree preferred or comparable professional experience
  • Contract Management technology experience - Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of sophisticated cloud based contract management software and the Microsoft Office Suite of software applications, preferably Ariba Contracts.
  • Process management expertise – solid experience developing processes, process documentation and training
  • Understanding of insurance requirements and insurance documents as they relate to supplier contracts
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with suppliers and insurance agents 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, balance numerous priorities with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, reason logically and analyze situations accurately.
  • High degree of initiative, attention to detail and accuracy, timelines; ability to take ownership, follow through on assignments and manage deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ariba/ISN/JD Edwards/DocuSign/Oracle Cloud ERP Experience
  • Natural gas industry experience preferred.
