IT Support Analyst – Tier 1

Pittsburgh, PA

Contract – W2 ONLY

Overview:

Our client, a leader in the Natural gas industry, is currently seeking to hire a Tier 1 IT Support Analyst to work on a contract engagement in the downtown Pittsburgh area. This contract engagement is currently scheduled for a duration of 3-6 months with the potential for extension.  Standard Schedule for this role would be Monday through Friday from 8-5.

Daily, the Tier 1 IT Support Analyst would be responsible for the following:

  • Basic IT tier 1 support – initial point of contact for IT issues - although much of the work involves a quick analysis and fix if a simple solution is available, the support analyst would then escalate issues to the service desk for more complex items. From there the support analyst would need to follow up to make sure the issue was resolved 
  • Coordination of technology for onboarding new hires and employee moves – due to recent activity within the organization there are a lot of moves and adds – it’s imperative this person is able to keep good track of the technology people need as they are onboarded or move into the group and ensure IT has delivered all the required technology prior to the start date as well an ensure the facilities team has cubes ready as well.
  • Some basic repetitive admin tasks within the Endur system and documenting well (training for Endur would be provided as needed) 
  • Providing any support help needed for the team in general  

Required Experience for the role:

  • 1-2 years’ solid professional experience in an IT support role
  • Strong understanding of basic IT support is required, ability to analyze an issue for the quickest effective solution or escalate as needed and follow-up to ensure resolution is achieved.
  • Experience following solid IT support practices – resolving what you can, escalating as needed, communicating thoroughly with users, coordinating with all parties as needed and demonstrating excellent follow-up on issues until they’re resolved
  • Excellent people skills – works well with professional of all levels across the organization
  • Very strong technical aptitude
  • Positive attitude centered on professionalism, a service mentality and taking pride in a job well done
  • Strong organizational skills and
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment
  • Ability to collaborate as needed as well as work independently to complete tasks on time
  • Ability to mentor less experience systems analysts and guide them to achieve their goals
